BRUNSWICK — The third-and fourth-grade boys basketball travel team completed a successful season with multiple first- and second place finishes in three of the four tournaments they participated in.
The team earned second place in the Central Lincoln County Tournament in Damariscotta, while taking home a second-place trophy at the Brunswick Recreation Tournament.
The team won the Boothbay YMCA Tournament on March 21 in dramatic fashion, earning the championship trophy after coming out of the losers bracket. The team beat Medomak Valley, 21-14 in the championship game after dropping a contest to Medomak earlier in the day.
Thomas Harvey led the efforts in the championship game, scoring eight points, while Dalton Armstrong pitched in with six. Jack Nussbaum added several key assists, with Matthew Orlando adding several key buckets.
The team was honored for its accomplishments at the Maine Red Claws game this past Friday, being introduced at center court.
