SACO — Imogene “Emma” Field, 97, of Saco, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 9, 2015, at her home.

She was born in Penobscot on Sept. 6, 1917, a daughter of Manfred and Sarah (Littlefield) Mixer.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed raising her family. Her hobbies included knitting, reading poetry and working on crossword puzzles. She enjoyed following the Boston Red Sox, traveling, cooking and a nice glass of fine wine.

She is preceded in death by: her husband, Lowell Field in 1993; five brothers, Horace, Leland, Granville, Carroll and George; and by one sister, Esther.

She is survived by: her two sons, David Field and his wife Barbara of Saco, and Kenneth Field and his wife Janet “Sue” of Andover; and three daughters, Susan Dow and her husband Malcolm of Hollis Center, Sharon Laflamme and her husband Ron of Biddeford, and Lisa Field and partner Marshall of Hollis.

She is also survived by: eight grandchildren, Stacey, Wendy, Diana, Linda, Victoria, Benjamin, George and Jeffery; 12 great-grandchildren, Jocelyn, Kimberly, Natasha, Marissa, Hunter, Cassidy, Zachary, Jameson, Wesley, Sullivan, Tucker and Madison; two great-great-grandchildren, Mallory Mae and Flynn; one brother, Donald Mixer and his wife Betsy; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held in the spring at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Saco. Arrangements are by Cote Funeral Home, Saco.
