SACO — Linda White Gardner, 64, passed away April 7, 2015 at the Gosnell Memorial House with her family by her side.

She was born on April 11, 1950 in Biddeford, the daughter of Melvin and Ethel Blunt White.

Linda graduated from Old Orchard Beach High School and Andover College. She was employed as a customer service representative, retiring from Blue Cross and Blue Shield after 26 years of service. Her prior employment included Herman Shoe, Nike, Biddeford Textile, St. Johnsbury Trucking and Humpty Dumpty, where she met her husband of 43 years, David Harper Gardner, who passed away Sept. 30, 2014.

Linda was a member of the NAFCA #140 Camping Association, the Rochambeau Club, and she and her husband David were Doubles State Cribbage Champions. She loved bowling and spending time with family at the Barker Pond beach.

Linda is preceded in death by: her husband, David Gardner; her parents; and her brother, Melvin White.

She is survived by: three sons, David and his wife Karen Gardner of Buxton, Chance and his wife Jennifer Gardner of Biddeford, and Kevin McMurtrie; her daughter, Samantha Gardner of Saco; her two brothers, James and his wife Judy White of Saco, and Daniel and his wife Melissa White of Braden, Florida; as well as 14 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 10, from 5-7 p.m. at Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home, 365 Main Street, Saco.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 11 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

The family requests memorial donations be made in Linda’s honor to the Susan B. Koman Foundation or the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, 180 U. S. Route 1, Scarborough, ME 04074.
