CASTINE — Former Freeport High School standout Ally Fuehrer scored the first goal of the game to get the Maine Maritime Academy women’s lacrosse game going en route to an 11-9 North Atlantic Conference win over Johnson State College on Sunday at Richie Field.
Fuehrer completed her hat trick late in the opening half as MMA carried a 7-3 lead to the half. She ended the day with five goals and an assist to lead the Mariners attack.
MMA improved to 2-8 overall, 2-4 in the NAC.
