ARUNDEL — Gerard G. Labbe, 87, of Arundel, died on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Gosnell Hospice in Scarborough.

He was born Dec. 4, 1927 to William and Fedora (Frechette) Labbe in Biddeford.

On April 14, 1951 he married Rita Jariz at St. Joseph’s Church in Biddeford. They shared 39 years together until her death in January 1990.

On Jan. 5, 2011 he married Vera Palmer at their home in Arundel, where they shared two years together until her death on June 20, 2013.

Gerard was always tinkering with something. He enjoyed anything and everything mechanical. Those who knew him knew he was a homebody and enjoyed when his friends would stop by for a visit.

He is preceded in death by: a daughter, Diane Lamb in October 2005.

Gerard is survived by: a son, Mark Labbe and his wife Caroleanne of Shapleigh; two daughters, Susan Jenkins and her husband Jeffrey of Saco, and Sandra Trottier and her husband Roland of Springvale; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; six siblings; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no services. The family requests that memorial donations be sent in Gerard’s name to Gosnell Hospice, 11 Hunnewell Road, Scarborough, ME 04074.
