BRUNSWICK COMMUNITY EDUCATION FOUNDATION’S inaugural grant award recipients gathered at the Harriet Beecher Stowe library recently to share information on their proposals and begin planning for implementation in Brunswick schools. Through contributions from donors and area businesses, BCEF was able to fund 20 proposals totaling over $35,000 — examples of grants funded include new science kits, expanded robotics offerings, a new percussion instrument, interdisciplinary studies of ecology and culture, support for writing instruction, new books to supplement instruction, and other innovative projects. Pictured above are many of the grant award winners and Principals representing all four of Brunswick’s public schools. For more information, visit www.brunswickcef.org.
