WATERVILLE — Two area residents were among 52 students at Colby College in Waterville who were elected to membership in Phi Beta Kappa this spring. Membership in the society is one of the highest academic honors an undergraduate student can achieve. Katherine M. Daigle of Springvale, is a member of the class of 2015. Daigle, who is majoring in English and American Studies, is the daughter of Joffre and Rita Daigle of Springvale, and attended Sanford High School. Sara E. George of Limington, is a member of the class of 2015. George, who is majoring in geology, is the daughter of John and Kathleen George of Limington and attended Bonny Eagle High School.
