OCEAN PARK — Charles J. Glavin Jr., 62, formerly of Brunswick, died unexpectedly after a massive heart attack on April 15.

He was the son of Charles J. and Christine Cavanaugh Glavin. Raised in Worcester, Massachusetts, he was a 1970 graduate of Assumption Preparatory School and received a bachelor’s degree from Fordham University.

Glavin was the former owner of Advantage Payroll Systems in Topsham. Most recently, he worked as a sales representative in the Portland area.

He loved a good book, the beaches of Maine, the Red Sox and above all, his two children.

He is survived by his daughter, Hannah, and a son, Brendan, both of Brunswick; his brother, Michael T. Glavin, wife Mary and their sons, Matthew T., Daniel J. and David Glavin; his sisters, Julie A. Glavin, Margaret M. Glavin and Patricia M. Glavin; and his former wife, Sara Cyr Glavin, of Brunswick. In addition, he leaves numerous cousins and lifelong friends.

Visitation and a memorial service were held Tuesday at Brackett Funeral Home in Brunswick, with the Rev. Frank Murray officiating.
