SACO — People interested in beginning or returning to college are invited to visit the University College Center at Saco during their Same-Day Acceptance Event on Friday, April 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Prospective students will learn about the courses and degree programs offered on-site by the University of Maine at Augusta. In addition to UMA programs and courses, students can enroll in online degree and certificate programs from any of the University of Maine System campuses.
At the event, visitors can meet with UMA admissions and advising staff, submit an application and learn if they are accepted into a degree program ”“ all in the same day. The college application fee will be waived during the event.
University College at Saco is one of eight University of Maine System centers across Maine. Located at 4 Scamman St., UC Saco serves the Saco/Biddeford community and greater York County area. The center administers distance learning course sites in Sanford and South Berwick.
University College has helped thousands of people connect to the courses and degree programs of the University of Maine System so they can earn the credentials they need to advance in their jobs or to begin new careers. The professionals at UC Saco are experts at helping students get started in college and in giving them the support they need to reach their educational goals.
