TOPSHAM — Kyle Lussier scored four goals to lead the Mt. Ararat High School boys lacrosse team to a 12-3 Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference win over Cony on Thursday.
The Eagles improved to 1- 1 and visits Lewiston on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Mt. Ararat darted out to a 5-0 first-quarter lead, led 7-1 at the half and 9-1 through three quarters.
Kellan Radulski picked up three goals in the win, while Ben Bishop dished out three assists. Elliot Pressman chipped in two goals and two helpers, with Nick Canter, Hank Gilson and Jake Schoenberg tallying one goal apiece. Eli Timberlake picked up an assist, while goaltender Charlie Gill had six saves.
Joe Younes, Chad Bickford and Logan Testerman had one goal each for Cony (0-1). Rams goaltender Cam Gallant turned aside 11 shots.
Ryan Croatti tallied four goals as the host Dragons picked up their second KVAC win over the 0-2 Red Eddies at Bowdoin College’s Ryan Field.
Matt Brooks chipped in three goals in the win, while Croatti added an assist.

Brunswick (2-0) is slated to visit Messalonskee at Thomas College in Waterville on May 1 at 4 p.m.
Baseball
Zach Small tossed a twohit shutout in the second game as the Richmond Bobcats opened up East-West Conference play with a doubleheader sweep of Vinalhaven.
After winning the opener 13-6, Small dominated the Vikings in a 10-0 Mercy Rule win. He finished with five strikeouts and three walks.
Richmond (2-0) took advantage of six Vinalhaven (0-2) errors in the nightcap, and Tyler Soucy singled twice. Brendan Emmons added a double.
Three Vinalhaven pitchers combined on seven walks and seven strikeouts. Cody Hamilton and Eli Webster each singled in the loss.
In the opener, Richmond pounded out 13 hits, led by Soucy and Curtis Anderson with three singles apiece. Brady Johnson singled and doubled, Matt Rines singled twice and Tristan Shea tripled.
On the mound, Mike Stewart started for Richmond and was relieved by Rines and Anderson. The trio combined on four hits, nine walks and six strikeouts.
Hamilton singled twice for Vinalhaven, while pitcher Liam Thomas went the distance on seven walks and two strikeouts.
Richmond is slated to host North Yarmouth Academy on Saturday at noon.
