KENNEBUNK — Kennebunk started off hot against Cape Elizabeth and held on at the end for a 6-5 victory in a WMC baseball game Saturday.
The Rams (2-0) scored three runs in the first, two in the second and one more in the third as they led the Capers (0-1) 6-4 after three innings.
Ben Lary paced the Rams with a two-run homer. Eric Aiken added an RBI double and both players had a pair of Kennebunk’s six hits in the contest.
Justin Wiggins earned the win on the mound for the Rams, while Lary picked up the save after taking over for Wiggins in the sixth inning.

CAPE ELIZABETH 10, KENNEBUNK 9
KENNEBUNK — Allison King, Brittney Gregoire and Malori Cole all hit home runs for Kennebunk, but the host Rams couldn’t hold on against Cape Elizabeth as the Capers won 10-9 in 10 innings in a WMC softball game Saturday.
The Rams (1-1) led 7-5 heading into the seventh inning, but the Capers (1-1) rallied to send the game to extra innings on a two-run homer by Michaela Pinette.
The Capers went ahead 10-7 in the top of the 10th, as Ashley Tinsman’s two-run double highlighted the three-run frame.
Cole blasted a two-run bomb in the bottom of the frame, but that was all the Rams could muster in falling one run short.
Boys Lacrosse
KENNEBUNK 12, FRYEBURG 5
FRYEBURG — Bo Beveridge scored six goals as Kennebunk ran past host Fryeburg Academy 12-5 in a WMC boys lacrosse game Saturday.
Donovan Connor added three goals, Brendan Whitten two and Tyler Dumas also found the back of the net for the Rams (1-0).
