
He married the former Judith Peterson on June 5, 1960, and had two children Peter and Marta.
After obtaining a business degree from New Hampshire College, he owned several businesses in the local area.
George was a 32nd Degree Mason and was also a member of the American Legion. He had a passion for hunting and fishing, especially with his two best friends. George was a friend to many and an enemy to none and will be remembered for his sharp wit and sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, son Peter of Standish, daughter Marta of Durham, sisters, Marilyn Frizzell of Virginia Beach, VA, Stephanie Sullivan of Northboro, MA, a sister-inlaw Audrey Alexander of Vero Beach, FL, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren as well as several nieces nephews and cousins.
At George’s request, there will be no funeral services. A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Contributions in George’s memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Brackett Funeral Home in Brunswick.
