PORTLAND — The Binghamton offense combined for 18 runs and 21 hits en route to sweeping the Sea Dogs at Hadlock Field on Tuesday night, winning the completion of a suspended game, 11-7, and game two, 7-1 in seven innings.

The teams resumed Monday’s Eastern League suspended game tied 2-2 in the second inning, and Portland quickly took a 4-2 lead on a two-run single by Oscar Tejeda.

But, Binghamton responded quickly, batting around in the top of the third and plating five runs, thanks to two Sea Dog errors.

The second game was all Mets, as Binghamton struck for seven runs in the first two innings against Portland starting pitcher Mike Augliera (0-3), who lasted 3.2 innings.

Dustin Lawley was 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs for the visitors.

The series continues tonight at 6 p.m.
