BRUNSWICK — Bowdoin College senior and Brunswick native Mac Caputi has been named Second Team All-Conference in Men’s Lacrosse Awards handed out by the New England Small College Athletic Conference on Wednesday.
A defenseman and co-captain for this year’s squad, Caputi enjoyed an outstanding campaign that saw him ranked third in the league among all non-faceoff specialists with 62 ground balls this season (4.1 ground balls/game). He also led the Polar Bears with 16 caused turnovers and chipped in offensively with three goals.
A three-year starter for the Bowdoin men’s lacrosse team and a two-sport captain in football and lacrosse as a senior, Caputi finishes his Polar Bear career with 134 ground balls in 47 career games with 35 caused turnovers, eight goals and three assists.
