BRUNSWICK — Atayne LLC was recently recognized for creating the most positive overall social and environmental impact by the nonprofit B Lab with the release of the fourth annual “B Corp Best for the World” list, according to a news release.
The list honors businesses that earned an overall score in the top 10 percent of more than 1,200 certified B corporations from more than 120 industries on the B impact assessment, a rigorous and comprehensive assessment of a company’s impact on its workers, community, and the environment. Honorees were recognized among micro, small and mid-sized businesses around the globe.
In addition, Maine-based Atayne earned a top spot on the 2015 “B Corp Best for the Environment” list. Atayne has earned a spot on the “B Corp Best for the World” lists since B Lab began this recognition.
“I launched Atayne in 2007 intending to bring positive environmental benefits to the world. It’s been a challenge to take our commitments seriously, and so we’re delighted to get this continued recognition as a ‘Best for the World,’” said Atayne CEO Jeremy Litchfield in the news release to the media.
