BIDDEFORD — A 25-year-old Biddeford man was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Portland Monday to nearly six years in prison for drug trafficking, according to a press release from the Office of U.S. Attorney Thomas Delahanty.
According to court documents, Garrett Griffin was distributing heroin and crack cocaine in the Lewiston area last year when drug enforcement agents caught him attempting a delivery. He was arrested and pleaded guilty to charges of possession with the intent to distribute cocaine base, or crack cocaine, and heroin on Jan. 29, the release states.
According to the release, Judge Nancy Torresen sentenced Griffin to 70 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release.
Maine State Police and the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency assisted in the investigation.
