
She was born on Sept. 24, 1938, in North Hollywood, California, the daughter of Roy and Margaret Herndon.
She is survived by her children: one son, Jay Stone and three daughters, Janice Stone, Joy Rockwell and Jill Spear. She had three grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren whom she loved very much.
Josie happily spent the last few years of her life at St. Marguerite d’ Youville Pavilion where she had many friends and was loved by the staff. She was a people person and loved giving hugs. She also enjoyed country music, dancing, playing cards and bingo.
The family wishes to thank the staff at St. Marguerite d’ Youville Pavilion for the excellent care and love they provided to Josie during her stay with them. She could not have been in a better place during the last few years of her life.
Josie died peacefully surrounded by her loving children and is in a better place now smiling down on those who loved her.
