TOPSHAM — The Mt. Ararat High School jayvee baseball team hosted Lawrence for a pair of five-inning games on Friday.
In the opener, Eddie Van Note had the only hit for the hosts in a 9-2 loss. Garrett Moody and Elliot Bowie each walked twice.
The second game came down to the wire, with the Bulldogs coming away with a close 6-5 victory.
Kevin Giroux had two hits and two RBIs for Mt. Ararat (5-5-1). Desmond Babbidge went all the way on the mound, permitting four hits and picking up a strike out. Babbidge helped himself at the plate with a triple and two RBIs.
