BRUNSWICK — A baked bean and pot luck dinner will take place Saturday, June 6 to benefit Mike Stevens, a bus driver for School Administrative District 75 who has been ill and will be out of work until at least late September.
The dinner is from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the Evergreen Senior Center, located at 1 Columbus Drive in Brunswick.
Food will be provided by SAD 75 bus drivers, and will feature baked beans, casseroles, salads and crock pot dishes.
The requested donation is $8 for adults and $5 for children under age 12. Donations go directly to the Stevens family. For those unable to attend the dinner but would still like to help, a GOFUNDME campaign has been started at gofundme.com/v63ufy9h.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
