SANFORD — The Sanford girls lacrosse team celebrated Senior Night with an impressive 19-8 win over visiting Deering on Thursday afternoon.
Senior Brenna Lambert and underclassmen Monica Trausch and Maddie Leigh each scored five goals to lead the Spartans, who improved to 6-5 on the season.
Seniors Courtney Gwilt and Liz Bougie each added goals on Senior Night. Liz Helmreich finished with one goal and two assists and Hannah Burgess also scored for Sanford.
Eva Belanger made seven stops for the Spartans.
Sanford will visit Thornton Academy on Tuesday.
