LONDON ( AP) — Princess Charlotte’s father is returning to work after nearly a month of unpaid paternity leave.
Prince William, second in line to the British throne, is back on duty today as an air ambulance pilot after Britain’s latest princess was born on May 2. He works with the East Anglian Air Ambulance service.
William had previously been a Royal Air Force search-and-rescue pilot based on an island off Wales.
William and his wife Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, have spent most of the last month out of public view at their country home Anmer Hall with their two children, Charlotte and 22-monthold Prince George.
On Saturday, William attended Britain’s FA soccer cup final in London and urged FIFA’s embattled leadership to reform and “put the sport first.”

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
