KENNEBUNK — Jakob Richard Brooks, son of Ronald and Lori Brooks, graduated from United States Military Academy at West Point, New York on May 23, with a Bachelor’s degree. Following graduation, Jakob will be commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army.
A 2011 graduate of Massabesic High School in Waterboro, Jakob went on to succcessfully complete Cadet Basic Training and Air Assault School at West Point, considered one of the most challenging events a Cadet will encounter. He then began four years of education at the academy, with a major in law and legal studies and a minor in systems enginering, resulting in a Bachelor’s degree.
Jacob will attend Basic Officer School at Fort Sill, Oklahoma for the next six months and then deploy overseas.
