Windham High School held its graduation at 1:30 p.m. June 7 at Cross Insurance Arena in Portland. The following students rose to the top ten in the class of 2015.

Awards: Bates Book Award, National Chemistry Olympiad at the University of Maine Orono in 2013, chosen to attend the Maine Youth Leadership Program seminar at the University of Southern Maine in 2013, junior volunteer at Maine Medical Center in 2014, earning 50 hours of community service; Student Government Body Representative on Class Council senior year.
Future plans: University of Rhode Island, majoring in pharmacy.

Awards: District II Honors Festival (Band, 4 years), All-State Music Festival (Band, 3 years, Orchestra, 1 year), Smith Book Awards, AP Scholar Award.
Future plans: Gettysburg College, Major: Music Education.

Clubs and activities: lacrosse, varsity swimming, Science Olympiad, Spanish Honor Society, project dance, and prom committee. Windham Chamber Singer, 3 years and served as president senior year; vice-president of National Honor Society and class officer.
Awards: Princeton Book Award, SMAA swim scholarship, and several Presidential scholarships from universities across the country.
Future plans: University of Maine on a full-tuition scholarship, majoring in journalism and biology.

Clubs and activities: cross country, indoor and outdoor track, Competitive Dance Team, Interact Club, Spanish Honor Society, taught 1st grade students Spanish through Aguilitos; National Honor Society, reducing sexism and violence program, reading instructor for Teen Trendsetters.
Awards: Wellesley College Book Award, AP Scholar Award and Scholar Athlete Award each season, High Honor Roll each year.
Future plans: Elon University, majoring in marketing and strategic communications. Hopes to someday have her own advertising firm that advocates for animal rights.

Member of the National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Math team and Outing club. Participated in the inaugural year of the Robotics team which finished 17th in their first tournament.
Awards: Phi Beta Kappa Book Award and recognized as an AP Scholar in junior year and as SMAA All Academic as a senior.
Hobbies: Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ).
Future Plans Rochester Institute of Technology in New York, majoring in biomedical sciences.

Awards: AP Scholar Award (2013/2014 school year), Teen Trendsetters Excellence Award, Saint Michael’s College Book Award.
Future Plans: Stetson University in Deland, Florida, majoring in international relations/pre-law with a minor in Spanish. Accepted as a Bonner Scholar in Stetson’s Bonner Program which is both a volunteer service and leadership program. Plans to study abroad after getting bachelor’s degree as well as go to law school to be an immigration lawyer

Achievements: New England Champion in swimming for the 500 freestyle; holder of two school records for swimming, Swimmer of the meet at southwestern championships two years in a row; Gold medal in chemistry lab junior year at Science Olympiad, Gold medal in cell biology senior year at Science Olympiad, Silver medal in chemistry lab senior year at Science Olympiad, Bronze medal in protein modeling senior year at Science Olympiad, University of Rochester Bausch and Lomb Book Award, Went to Olympic Training Center for a training trip.

In Science Olympiad, second place at thermodynamics as a sophomore, first place in chemistry as a junior, second place chemistry as a senior, experimental design and first in cell bio. Placed 6th in chemistry Olympiad as a junior and second place as a senior.
Future plans: Ransselaer Polytechnic Institute, majoring in chemical engineering.
