BATH — Wilson’s was able to hold off Bath Iron Works in the second round of the Cal Ripken Minors Tournament for the win, 15- 13.

Chase Nicolino, Caleb Sommers and Gabe Morrison stuck out a combined 12 hitters while walking nine.

BIW rallied in the top of the fifth to bring the game within four runs and again in the top of the sixth to hold a lead of 13-12.

Wilson’s responded as Eliot Harkins hit an RBI double in the bottom of the sixth for the win, with Brandon Cunningham scoring the winning run. Morrison had two doubles and a single, Eli Torrey a double and a single, and Nicolino added a single.

BIW had Kiernan Mann and Wyatt Wallace pitching, striking out 11. Lucas Quimby and Thomas Guild each had a double and two singles. Mann added a triple and a single and Henry Kerr added two singles.

Wilson’s and BIW met again, with Wilson’s edging last year’s league champions, 6-5.

The teams were tied going into the seventh inning, 5-5.

Nicolino led off the top of the seventh with a single and later scored on a wild pitch for the winning run. He also had two doubles. Cunningham and Somers had a single each, while Torrey chipped in with a double.

Nicolino, Sommers and Morrison took to the mound again for Wilson’s, striking out 18 and walking 11.

Wallace and Guild pitched for BIW, striking out 15 and walking only four. Guild had a double and a single, Wallace and Colby Dolan each had a double, Mann a triple, and Wyatt Rowe and Lucas Quimby chipped in with a single each.

Guild was named the 2015 recipient of the Kyle Fitzherbert Award.
