SANFORD — A man was taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland with critical injuries as a result of a mishap involving a farm tractor Thursday night.
The incident took place in a field at 45 Chick Road at about 6 p.m., said Sanford Fire Department Capt. Paul Dubois this morning.
He said emergency medical personnel were called to the property for a report of a man who had fallen off a tractor.
He said the man’s injuries were a direct result of the operation of the 3,000 pound tractor but did not elaborate, citing federal privacy laws.
The adult male tractor operator was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
