PORTLAND — The Binghamton Mets (35-30) scored three times in the fourth and four times in the fifth to upend the Portland Sea Dogs (25-41), 7-1 and complete a three-game Eastern League series sweep at Hadlock Field.

Binghamton stretched its win streak to seven games, while the Sea Dogs have dropped four in a row and seven straight at home.

Michael Fulmer successfully pitched himself out of several jams en route to a quality start, allowing one earned run on seven hits in 6 1-3 innings pitched. Portland stranded two runners in each of the second, third, fourth and fifth innings, and finished the game 0-for-14 with runners in scoring position.

The Mets took the lead in the top of the fourth inning on a two-run homer by Josh Rodriguez, his league-leading 12th of the year. He finished a triple shy of the cycle. Albert Cordero added an RBI single to make it 3-0 after four.

Binghamton sent nine men to the plate in the fifth and added four more runs on five hits and a Sea Dogs error to make it a 7-0 lead.
