WEST BATH — A West Bath man was issued a summons Friday night for operating under the influence after crashing an all-terrain vehicle along Foster’s Point Road where he lives.

Chief Deputy Brett Strout of the Sagadahoc County Sheriff ’s Department said after his ATV accident, William Sanford, 30, of West Bath was issued summonses and charged with operating under the influence, operating after suspension and operating an ATV on a public way. The ATV crash was initially reported just prior to 10 p.m. Friday in the area of Jaiden Landscaping.

Sanford was taken to Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick by Bath Rescue.
