PORTLAND — John Anderson went 6 2-3 scoreless innings and the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (37-39) shut out the Portland Sea Dogs (28-51), 2-0 in game two of an Eastern League series at Hadlock Field on Wednesday night.
Anderson scattered seven hits and struck out four while walking none. Chad Girodo worked 1 1-3 innings and retired all four batters he faced, and Wil Browning pitched a perfect ninth to record his first save of the season.
