BRUNSWICK — Zach Meggison pitched six scoreless innings as Brunswick downed Rogers Post of New Auburn, 7-0, in an American Legion Zone II baseball game on Tuesday at Edwards Field.
Brunswick improved to 3-7, while the visitors fell to 5-4.
Meggison allowed three hits, walked five and struck out three. John Parker struck out the side in the seventh to close things out.
Charlie Lowell and Elias Henze had two hits each to power Brunswick, while Joey Doherty walked four times.
Brandon Varney and Lew Jensen each doubled for Rogers Post.
Brunswick returns to action on Thursday at Poland High School against Tri-Town. First pitch is slated for 5:45 p.m.

For Smith-Tobey (1-9), Grant Hefler had a single and stole two bases, while Tom Brown doubled in two runs.
Smith-Tobey is slated to host Augusta in a doubleheader on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. on Kelley Field.
