PHIPPSBURG — Dale Forrest Blodgett, 63, of Phippsburg, ME, formerly of East Norwich, NY, died peacefully on July 6, 2015, in Maine. He was born on July 6, 1952, in Roslyn, NY, to Joseph and Nina Blodgett, the eldest of two children.
Dale grew up on Long Island, NY, and graduated from Oyster Bay High School in 1970. Shortly after, Dale enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Post-Navy, Dale became a senior electrical designer for shipbuilder Bath Iron Works, where he worked for 27 years.
Dale is survived by his brother Stephen Russell Blodgett and nieces Kimberly Ann Blodgett and Kristen Elizabeth Blodgett of Lower Gwynedd, PA.
Visitation, casual dress, will be held on Thursday, July 9 from 4 to 6 p.m. at David E. Desmond & Son Funeral Home, 638 High St., Bath, ME. Burial and graveside service will be held at Greenfield Cemetery in Uniondale, NY, on July 25.
