THE MOXIE DAY 5K recently completed its 20th year as part of the Moxie Festival in Lisbon Falls this past Saturday. More than 500 attendees par ticipated, with Old Town’s Erik McCarthy (pictured in top photo, bib No. 1), Lewiston’s Tom Menendez and Lisbon’s Brian Ganong being recognized before the start of the race for having run the event since its inception. In the bottom-right picture, Luc Bourget, 20, of Auburn reaches out for a bottle of water after finishing first overall in a time of 15:59. To the left, Mary Pardi of Falmouth, crosses the finish line as the first female finisher of the day in 18:42, while placing 14th overall.
