BIDDEFORD — Vivian F. Mondor, 90, died of cancer on July 20, 2015 at the Seal Rock Healthcare Center in Saco.

She was born and raised in Biddeford on May 13, 1925, a daughter of Alfred and Rosilia (Lachance) Proulx, graduating with honors from St. Andre’s High School in 1943.

On April 25, 1946, she married Raymond L. Mondor at St. Andre’s Church in Biddeford.

She worked at the Pepperell Manufacturing Company in the payroll department, Dame’s Laundry and Dry Cleaning, Saco Tanning payroll department and later at the Mutual Fire Insurance Company, retiring in 1987.

She volunteered at Notre Dame de Lourdes School’s hot lunch program and at the Wardwell Home with her dear friend and Activities Director Linda Solomon.

She enjoyed bird watching, reading, crossword puzzles, and her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by: her parents; a sister, Anita Fecteau; and her husband of 54 years, Raymond, who passed away Feb. 6, 2000.

She is survived by: Aunt Rollande (Tremblay) Turgeon; a daughter, Jeanne Callahan and husband Paul; two sons, Bernard Mondor and partner Nancy Armstrong, and Paul Mondor and wife Linda; five grandchildren, Kim and Michael Armstrong, Nicole Derr, John Mondor, and Megan Dyer; two great-grandchildren, Addison and Lilah Derr; and several nephews and nieces.

Family and friends may call from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, July 23 at the Dennett, Craig and Pate Funeral Home, 365 Main St., Saco.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, July 24 at Most Holy Trinity, 271 Main St., Saco. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Biddeford.
