SOUTH PORTLAND — Catherine B. Lee, 95, died July 13 at South Portland Nursing Home, where she had resided for the past several years.

Lee was born Feb. 20, 1920, in Ashland, a daughter of Henry and Rose Theriault Beaulieu. She was educated in Ashland schools.

Catherine moved to South Portland in 1953. She worked as a bookkeeper, and was employed at Columbia Market, in Pine Tree Shopping Center, during the mid-1960s. She later worked at Porteous, Mitchell and Braun Co. and at Jordan Marsh & Co., from which she retired in 1984.

Lee was a longtime communicant of Holy Cross Church. She also was a member of the South Portland Senior Citizens Club, and enjoyed frequent lunches at McDonald’s and at Sam DiPietro’s Sandwich Shop.

She was predeceased by her husband, Walter J. Lee; her siblings, Jessie Beaulieu, Amanda St. Peter, Phoebe Jenkins, Mabel Suchaski, Pauline Cash, Alfred Beaulieu, William Beaulieu, George Beaulieu and John Beaulieu; and a great-grandson, Timothy J. “TJ” Michaud.

Lee is survived by her sons, Dana Michaud and his wife, Maureen, of South Portland, and Richard Michaud and his wife, Sharon, of Scarborough; her sister, Shirley Bushey; her sister, Judith Carpentier and her husband, Al; eight grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Lee’s family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of South Portland Nursing Home for the love and kindness given to her.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated July 15 at Holy Cross Church, with burial on July 21 at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Civic Center Drive, Augusta.
