BRUNSWICK — Brunswick Police responded Tuesday morning to a report of a body found floating New Meadows River near Sawyer Park. Police were alerted at 9:41 a.m.
Police said the body was discovered by someone walking on one of the paths at the park.
The body was discoved about 100 yards to the left of the boat landing.
Commander Marc Hagan of the Brunswick Police Department said the body is that of an adult male, and that more information will be released once a positive identification is made. There has been no indication of foul play, or “nothing that indicates suspicion,” said Hagan.
Hagan said there has not been reports of a missing person.
Brunswick Police were assisted by Brunswick Fire Department.
