SPRINGVALE — Frank H. Goodhue, 56, of Springvale, left us way too soon on July 29, 2015 at Maine Medical Center.

He was born in Portland on Oct. 15, 1958 to Richard and Helga (Hemm-rich) Goodhue.

A graduate of Sanford High School, Frank married Ginette Tanguay in 1980 and together they raised four children. He was employed at Corning in Kennebunk.

Frank was a loving husband and father, enjoyed many hobbies and spending time with friends and family. He was an outdoorsman and fisherman at heart. He liked camping with friends, four wheeling in northern Maine and became great at cooking barbeque on the grill. He enjoyed playing poker and possessed a wry sense of humor. “Mr. Fixit” will be dearly missed.

Frank is preceded in death by: his father and “partner in crime;” his niece, Nicole Gagne; and his mother-in-law, Irene Tanguay.

He is survived by: his mother, Helga Pelletier and her husband Lionel; wife, Ginette Goodhue; daughters, Greta, Gretchen, and Gennelle Goodhue; son, Garret; sister, Peggy Gagne and her husband Donald (Frank’s best friend and fishing buddy); sister, Betty Jurgensen and her husband Boda; a brother, Thomas Goodhue; many nieces and nephews; his father- in-law, Leon J. Tanguay; sisters-in-law, Denise Lamontagne, Marian Cote and her husband John, and Celeste Bemis and her husband Scott; a brother-in-law, Tim Tanguay and his wife Deana; and stepmother, Lena Goodhue.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, Aug. 4 at 10 a.m. at St. Thérèse of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church in Sanford. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery in Sanford.

Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Sanford-Springvale.
