Maine Homeless Veterans Alliance has received a major donation of 14 cases of summer footwear courtesy of Old Navy and local contributors. Executive Director Roger Goodoak, a former homeless veteran, has given some of the footwear to the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Portland, the Milestone Foundation and Amistad as well as the men’s and women’s homeless shelters. The remaining cases will be available to veterans.
The Maine Homeless Veterans Alliance provides assistance and resources to homeless and otherwise disadvantaged veterans and is actively seeking donations, including water and blankets, and volunteers for its office in Portland. To learn more, visit the MHVA Facebook page or call 632-9842.
