Messiah’s Mansion, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily from Aug. 8 through Aug. 15, a full-scale replica of the “wilderness temple” that was built by the Israelites shortly after they left Egypt, as noted in the Bible book Exodus, chapters 25 through 27. The traveling exhibit is open to the public at no cost. Tours start every 15 minutes and last about 75 minutes. Held on the grounds of Pine Tree Academy, 63 Pownal Road, Freeport.

A Renewal of Ministry, 4 p.m., service with welcome of the new rector. Led by the Rt. Rev. Stephen Lane, Episcopal Bishop of Maine, the Rev. Lael Sorensen will be installed as the new rector. Rev. Sorensen holds a Master of Divinity from Yale Divinity School and diploma in Anglican Studies from the Berkeley Divinity School at Yale. She has served at Grace Episcopal Church and Day School in Silver Spring, Maryland and as a hospital chaplain in Wilmington, Delaware. She has lived with Katherine Adams for 20 years prior to their marriage in a civil ceremony in 2012. The service takes place at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 11 White St., Rockland.
