HARPSWELL — Cook’s Lobster and Ale House will celebrate its 60th anniversary Saturday with a “Party on the Point” to commemorate the past, present and future of the iconic restaurant. The event will take place all day, starting with activities for children from noon to 3 p.m., which includes a bouncy house and other outdoor activities.
In addition to live music, including a performance from The Moon Dawgs, there will also be food concessions serving lobster rolls and finger food, a cash bar and fireworks to conclude the night.
“This is really our way of saying thank you to the community,” said owner Jennifer Charboneau on Wednesday. It was announced in July that Nicholas and Jennifer Charboneau purchased Cook’s out of bankruptcy court, and are planning to renovate the decades-old restaurant, formally known simply as Cook’s Lobster House.
Off-site parking and shuttle services for the celebration are available at Johnson’s Field and Salt Cod Cafe.
