Sean Armstrong of Auburn, New Hampshire, made a hole-in-one on the sixth hole at South Portland Municipal Golf Course on Aug. 10. Armstrong used a 7-iron for the shot, which was witnessed by Larry Van Alstyne of Clarksville, New York.

Peggy Neilson aced the par-3 fourth hole at Freeport Country Club during the Women’s Maine State Golf Association’s Freeport Open on Aug. 18. Neilson, who plays at Riverside Golf Course, used a 9-iron for the 97-yard shot.

Chris Juntura aced the fourth hole at Freeport Country Club on Aug. 20. Juntura used an 8-iron on the 385-yard shot, which was witnessed by Bobby Scammon, Eric Crone and Corey Wentworth.

Spencer Plante carded a hole-in-one on Aug. 24 at Gorham Country Club. Plante used a 9-iron for the 132-yard shot on the sixth hole. Evan McElwain, Alex Carroll, and Shaun McKinnon witnessed the shot.

Kevin Nickerson used a pitching wedge to ace the 132-yard sixth hole at Gorham Country Club on Aug. 28. Nickerson’s playing partners were Mike Arsenault, Mikes Sides and Mike Shirley.

Leo Bartelloni aced the 10th hole at Biddeford-Saco Country Club on Aug. 30. He used an 8-iron for the shot, which was seen by Bill Bell and John Kerry.

Nancy Sansoucy made a hole-in-one on the 107-yard sixth hole at Poland Spring Resort on Aug. 30. Dan Sansoucy, Linda Charpentier and Roger Charpentier witnessed the shot.
