HIRAM (AP) — Maine State Police say a husband and wife are dead after their motorcycle collided with a pickup truck in southwestern Maine.

Police say 67-year-old Patrick Vaillancourt and his wife, 64-year-old Margaret Vaillancourt, both of Wales, were killed around 2 p.m. Monday on Route 113 in Hiram.

Police say the pickup truck was traveling in the wrong lane of traffic when it collided with the motorcycle.

Police say 33-year-old Kenneth Bouffard was driving the pickup. He was taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland with non-life threatening injuries.

No charges have been filed. Police say the Oxford District Attorney will investigate.

Police say the victims are the 23rd and 24th motorcycle deaths on Maine roads this year, compared to 11 for all of 2014.
