
She graduated from Morse High School and on Sept. 19, 1953, she married Stephen Taylor Jr.
Barbara retired from Shaw’s Supermarket after 20 years of employment. After retirement, she and her husband traveled to Hawaii, the Caribbean, and took many trips camping. She enjoyed reading, quilting, and being with her family.
She was a member of the American Legion Post 202 Auxiliary.
She is predeceased by a son, Michael Taylor.
Surviving besides her husband are daughters Diane, Brenda and Patsy, and sons Dennis and Roger, all of Harpswell. Also surviving are several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 12 at 2 p.m. at Stetson’s Funeral Home, 12 Federal St., Brunswick, with the Rev. Gordon Cook officiating.
