Police seized a suspected methamphetamine manufacturing operation in Old Town, arresting three people on charges of making the dangerous drug.

The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency said the lab is the 33rd one its clandestine lab team investigated, after responding to a record 37 in 2014.

Old Town police received a tip Tuesday that people were making meth in an apartment at 3 Howard St. on French Island, police said. The apartment was secured and the state’s lab team responded Wednesday, when they seized items used in the manufacture of meth, police said.

Police charged Tina Clavette, 42, the resident, Joshua Doucette, 35 of Milford, and Aaron Coker, 27, of Old Town, with trafficking in methamphetamine, and they were taken to the Penobscot County Jail in Bangor.
