A two vehicle-crash involving a pickup truck and car sent at least one person to the hospital and required police to close Bath Road as they investigated the crash.
The crash was reported at around 8 a.m. on Bath Road just prior to the Jordan Avenue intersection. A LifeFlight helicopter was initially called to the scene but was unable to fly due to weather conditions. It appears the roof was cut off the car.
Bath Road was closed at the crash site and vehicles were detoured down Jordan Avenue.
Brunswick Police Department’s crash reconstruction unit was at the scene. Both vehicles were heavily damaged and towed away. The road reopened to traffic at around 10:30 a.m.
The extent of injuries was not available at the scene. More information is expected to be released soon.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
