BANGOR — Porter Galvin scored two goals to lead the Mt. Ararat High School field hockey team to a 3-0 Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference win over Bangor on Thursday.

The Eagles won for the second consecutive game to improve to 3-3-1. Mt. Ararat is slated to host Edward Little on Tuesday at 4 p.m.

Abby Malbon added a goal for the Eagles, while netminder Haley Frizzle turned aside four shots.

Bangor goaltender Kahia Maheux had 10 saves.

three goals in the first half as the visiting Indians overpowered the Dragons in KVAC action.

Maliea Kelso added a pair of first-half tallies as Skowhegan claimed a 7-0 lead at the break.

Brooke Michonski put two shots into the net in the second half to complete the scoring.

Brunswick, 1-5-1 and slated to visit Brewer on Tuesday at 4 p.m., received 19 saves from netminder Anna Webster, with Ainsley Harrower relieving and turning aside nine shots.

MORSE 1 CAMDEN 6

Katie Moore scored the lone goal for Morse, which fell to 1-5 and hosts Spruce Mountain on Saturday at 2 p.m.

Hilary Merrifield had three goals to pace Camden Hills, while Emily Bowen added a pair of scores and Emily Daggert a goal.

Madaleine Baker had 14 saves in the Shipbuilders net, while Asia DeRosby and Madison Savery were standouts.
