BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick High School girls soccer team shook off a slow-paced game to post a 3-0 Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference win over Oxford Hills on Friday.
Maeve Arthur had two goals for the Dragons (5-1), while Charlotte MacMillan added a goal. Lena Martin and Anna Kousky each picked up an assist.
In goal, Brunswick netminder Beth Labbe had three saves.
“A very slow-paced game between the two teams and one we did just enough to get the win,” said Brunswick coach Martyn Davison, whose Dragons visit Lewiston on Tuesday at 6 p.m. “I thought Molly Gramins, Lena Martin, Heather Kinee and Emily Girardin had very good games, and Maeve Arthur deserved her goals and she never stopped running all game.”
Oxford Hills (0-6) goaltender Sam Bickford turned aside nine shots.

The Bobcats rolled to an East-West Conference win on Saturday during Homecoming.
Meranda Martin and Camryn Hurley led the way, with Martin tallying a goal and dishing four assists, while Hurley picked up two goals and a like number of assists.
Also figuring into the Richmond (4-1) scoring were Kelsea Anair (two goals, assist), Destiny Anair (1-1), Autumn Acord (1-1), Jade Gammon (goal), Cassidy Harriman (goal), Caitlin Kendrick (goal), Molly Meagher (goal), Ashley Brown (1-1) and Emma Carbone (goal).
Valley (0-4) netminder Kendra Sweet had a dozen saves, while Richmond goaltenders Sydney Tilton and Kennedy Chandler did not face a shot.
Richmond heads to Buckfield on Tuesday at 4 p.m.

The Shipbuilders downed Spruce Mountain in KVAC Class B play on Saturday at Jay.
Abby Minott opened the scoring for Morse (4-1) 10 minutes into the game as she drilled a shot from just outside the 18 after receiving a long punt from goaltender Marissa Parks (seven saves).
Less than one minute later, Baylie Cram doubled the Morse advantage.
The Shipbuilders maintained possession through the midfield from the outset as the play of Amanda Gagne, Micailah Albertson, Noa Sreden, Ella Martin and Cram led to a good number of scoring opportunities, with Morse attempting 37 shots with 18 on goal. Spruce Mountain goaltender Amber Delaney had 15 saves.
Morse, which hosts Leavitt on Tuesday at 5 p.m., finished off the scoring as Aubrey Martin intercepted a clearing pass and drove the ball into the net from the top of the penalty area.
The central defense of Emma Rossetti and Mae Winglass protected Parks as she recorded her second shutout.

Alexa Thayer scored a second half goal as Gray-New Gloucester toppled Freeport on Saturday in a Western Maine Conference game at Gray.
Jen Sutherland contributed the assist for the Patriots (3-2).
Goalie Lindsay Cartmell made five saves for the Falcons (1-4), while goalie Jen Sutherland stopped four to earn the win in net for Gray- New Gloucester.
The Falcons host Fryeburg Academy on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
