
He was born May 27, 1965, in Brunswick, a son of Richard and Sharon (Green) Irish, and was educated in Freeport and Saco schools.
Jeffrey had worked as a self-employed carpenter most of his working life and had also had been employed with Nike shoe, and the Portland Press Herald circulation department.
He enjoyed racing his stock car, snowmobiling and quality time with his family.
Jeff is preceded in death by: his father in 2009; and by a sister, Bonnie King Irish in 2001.
He is survived by: his spouse of 37 years, Joan (Lapointe) Irish of Lyman; his mother, Sharon Williams of Saco; four daughters, Susan Irish of Lyman, Cassandra Irish of Alfred, Tiffany Irish of Lyman, and Allison Irish of Lyman; a granddaughter, Calena Cochrane of Alfred; three brothers, Rocky Irish of Hollis, Richard Irish Jr. of Florida, and Wayne Williams of New Hampshire; and three sisters, Stephanie Desrosiers of Florida, April Leonard of Florida, and Wendy Williams of Standish.
Visiting hours will be 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, Sept. 25 at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005. A funeral service will follow at noon in the funeral home chapel.
