TOPSHAM — Travis Nadeau netted three goals as the Mt. Ararat High School boys soccer team rolled to a 5- 0 Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference win over Oxford Hills on Tuesday.

The Eagles improved to 4-2-1 and visits Lewiston on Saturday at 11 a. m. The Vikings remained winless (0-7).

Jacob Sturgess dished out three assists, while Jimmy Pelletier and Evan Thibeault added one goal each.

Gavin Patterson and Elliot Bowie combined on three saves for the shutout.

Mt. Ararat finished with 16 shots, while Oxford Hills netminder Jacob Beauchesne had 11 saves.

BUCKFIELD 2 RICHMOND 1

Sidney Jackson scored two goals in the second half to lift the host Bucks to an East- West Conference win over Richmond, which suffered its first loss and hosts Pine Tree Academy today at 4 p.m.

Brendan Emmons scored the Bobcats only goal off a Matt Rines pass as they took a 1- 0 lead into halftime.

But, the Bucks answered in the second half with a goal by Jackson, and with three minutes left in the game, Jackson netted his second goal to put Buckfield on top.

Zach Small had four saves in net for Richmond (3-1), while Jacob Kraske had three for Buckfield. Richmond held a 4-1 edge in corners.

WISCASSET 1 ST. DOM’S 5

Connor Samson led a group of five players to record goals Tuesday as St. Dom’s ran to a Mountain Valley Conference victory over winless Wiscasset, 0- 6 and slated to host Mountain Valley on Saturday at 7 p.m.

Kyle Welsh, Ben Trytek, Ryan Lutrzykowski and Austin Roy also tallied for the Saints (3-1-1) to complete the scoring.

Russell Marr scored the lone goal for the Wolverines in the second frame.

Alex Michaud made three saves for St. Dom’s, while Sam Strozier turned aside 10 shots for Wiscasset.

MORSE 2 LEAVITT 3

Noah Lind came up big for Leavitt on Tuesday, scoring two goals and providing an assist as his squad snuck past the Shipbuilders in KVAC Class B play at Turner.

Evan Clark also tallied for the Hornets (3-3-1) to complete the scoring.

Jacob Brochu and Dakota Freeman each found the net for Morse (2-4) in a solid effort.

Lucas Perry made nine saves for Leavitt, while Alex Fernald turned aside five shots between the posts for Morse, which hosts Mt. View on Friday at 7 p.m.

FREEPORT 1 FRY. ACADEMY 3

The host Raiders received a goal and an assist from Gunner Gurnis in a Western Maine Conference win over Freeport, which fell to 1-4- 1 and visits Greely on Thursday at 6 p.m.

Fryeburg Academy (3-2- 1) led 2-0 at the half, with Max Kummer picking up the game’s opening goal. Jordan Kruguer made it a two-goal game.

Gurnis made it 3-0 early in the second half before Freeport’s Caiden Shea put the visitors on the board off an assist from Bryce Schmidt.
