SANFORD — The Sanford field hockey team welcomed in Bonny Eagle on Tuesday and the Spartans treated the Scots to a 3-0 shutout loss.
Sanford got a first-half goal from Liz Helmreich to take a 1-0 lead into the break.
Helmreich would add another goal in the second half and Makayla Garvin would also find the back of the net for the Spartans.
Amber Singleton stopped four shots for Sanford.
The Spartans will visit Westbrook on Thursday. First touch is set for 4 p.m.
