SANFORD — This Columbus Day weekend, McDougal Orchards in Springvale will host “Pick for ME.”
This annual event encourages you to pick apples to donate to a local food pantry. Folks are encouraged to fill an extra bag with hand-picked apples. Upon checkout, the “extra” bag apples will be collected in bins. There is no charge for the extra bag.
McDougal Orchards will deliver the apples to York County Food Rescue for distribution to neighbors in need.
