Musicians peform at the Compass Project’s Open House at Biddeford High School last month. About 75 people, including Biddeford School Board members and Mayor Alan Casavant, attended the event to welcome the Compass Project – a boat-building program for at-risk youth, formerly under the umbrella of Spurwink – to Biddeford as a program of Engine. The program will be housed at Biddeford High School in a bay next to the woodshop. Biddeford will run three boat-building programs this year, in addition to programs with Aucocisco Schools and workshops for the community.
